Gregory N. Roberts
Chief Executive Officer
Gregory Roberts has been Chief Executive Officer and a Director since July 2005. Mr. Roberts has served as President and Chief Executive Officer of Spectrum Group International, Inc. since March 2008. Mr. Roberts previously served as the President of Spectrum's North American coin division, which included A-Mark. He is also a lifetime member of the American Numismatic Association.
Thor G. Gjerdrum
Mr. Gjerdrum was appointed as President in September 2016. Mr. Gjerdrum previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer from 2013 and as Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President from 2002 to May 2008, and from May 2010 to June 2013. Mr. Gjerdrum was Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of SGI from June 2008 to April 2010. Previously, Mr. Gjerdrum held a variety of positions with two publicly traded telecommunications companies, the last of which was as Vice President of Finance, and worked in public accounting. Mr. Gjerdrum received a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Santa Clara University.
Chief Operating Officer
Mr. Aquilino has been with A-Mark since 2001. Mr. Aquilino has over 25 years of operations experience, including positions at AT&T and Covad Communications.
Chief Financial Officer
Simpson-Taylor was appointed CFO of A-Mark in September 2019, after serving as Executive Vice President, Controller and Assistant Secretary for the company since November 2017. Prior to this position, Simpson-Taylor joined A-Mark as Vice President, Controller and Assistant Secretary in January 2016. Prior to A-Mark, Simpson-Taylor held various executive positions at Mattel, Inc. from 2000 to 2015, including Vice President, Mattel Division Finance and Vice President, USA Finance, and served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Mattel Federal Credit Union from 2002 to 2004. Prior to Mattel, Simpson-Taylor held management positions at EY (Ernst & Young). Simpson-Taylor, a Certified Public Accountant, holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Loyola Marymount University.
Chief Information Officer
Ms. Zakian was appointed Chief Information Officer effective January 1, 2019. Ms. Zakian was most recently Vice President, CDO Business Intelligence, Advanced Analytics, and Big Data at AT&T/DIRECTV, where she served since 2005. From 1996 through 2005, Ms. Zakian was Director, Information Technology and Business Intelligence of EMI Music. Previously, she served as Senior Systems Manager, New Technologies and Architecture at Sony Pictures Entertainment. Ms. Zakian received a Master Degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at Polytechnic University of Armenia (Yerevan, Armenia) and has completed post-degree programs at UCLA and Harvard Business School.
David W. G. Madge
Chief Marketing Officer
Mr. Madge has served in various capacities at A-Mark since September 2011. Prior to that, Mr. Madge held various positions with the Royal Canadian Mint (RCM), a Commercial Crown Corporation of the Government of Canada, since 1995, most recently serving as Executive Director of the Bullion and Refinery Business Services, which included the refinery plant operations. Mr. Madge previously served as Director of Bullion & Refinery Services for RCM, where he was responsible for global sales and marketing activities. Mr. Madge received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1983 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1987, each from the University of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada.)
Ms. Meltzer has served as our General Counsel, Secretary and Executive Vice President since March 2014, assuming those offices at the time of the spin-off. From 2006 to the spin-off, she held the positions of General Counsel, Secretary and Executive Vice President of SGI and its predecessor companies, and served in a variety of legal capacities for SGI since 1996. Ms. Meltzer previously practiced law at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP and Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP. Ms. Meltzer received B.A. and J.D. degrees from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. Ms. Meltzer also serves as General Counsel and Executive Vice President of SGI and as a director of SGI.
President of CFC
Mr. Reiner was appointed as Executive Vice President, Finance Products and Ancillary Services of CFC in April 2018. Prior to that, Mr. Reiner served as Managing Director and Head of Consumer Investment Banking at B. Riley FBR, where he advised clients and assisted in raising capital in both the public and private markets. Mr. Reiner also served as Chief Business Development Officer of Great American’s Retail Solutions Group, a subsidiary of B. Riley Financial (NASDAQ: RILY), providing leadership in a range of turnaround and restructuring situations. Previously, Reiner served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Development at Skechers USA where his duties ranged from M&A advisory services to advertising as well as general corporate outreach. Reiner also served as President of Richard I. Koral, Inc. (dba Jessica’s). Reiner began his finance and banking career at Salomon Brothers and also held senior banking roles at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, BT Securities, Oppenheimer & Co. and Financo. He earned an MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business and a BS degree from McIntire School of Commerce.
President of AMST
Mr. Meadows has served as President of Silver Towne Mint since A-Mark acquired a majority stake in the business in 2016. From 2013 through February 2018, Mr. Meadows also served in various other positions, including Executive Vice President and General Manager, for Silver Towne, LP, the co-owner of Silver Towne Mint and a retailer of numismatics and precious metals, serving customers through its physical and e-commerce stores, and its live television show, The Coin Vault. Mr. Meadows has experience in mergers and acquisitions, and has successfully managed turnarounds and periods of explosive growth for multiple companies. Mr. Meadows spent much of his early career managing stores for The Home Depot, and later served as Vice President and General Manager for Ready Set Service, one of The Home Depot’s largest in-store service providers, with more than 1,000 employees across the US. Mr. Meadows received a Bachelor of Science degree in Christian ministries from Cincinnati Bible College.
